PC Instructions
How to access your J: drive from off campus
1. Install the Purdue VPN on your home computer:
2. After installing the VPN, "start" the VPN by signing in with your Career Account and password.
3. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer on your home computer.
4. Click on Tools > Map Network Drive
5. Select the letter J: in the Driver letter box

6. In the Folder box, type in the following:
\\ITIFS05.itap.purdue.edu\cla_homedirs\departmentnumber\careeraccountlogin

Please Note: When mapping your drive, replace departmentnumber/career account login with your department number and career account login. See below for department number. |
7. Click on “Connect using a different user name”

8. In the “Connect As…” window type in Onepurdue\username and your password and click OK.
9. Click Finish
It should take a few seconds and then map the drive letter J: for you, and then you'll see your files.
In order to connect to any ITaP Server you will need your department number:
