How to access your J: drive from off campus

These instructions describe how to access ITaP network drives (such as a home directory or share drive) from Apple-based computers, which may or may not be connected to the “ONEPURDUE” domain. These may include off-campus computers, classroom computers, and/or ITaP lab computers.

If you are already on campus utilizing these instructions you do not have to setup a VPN connection before connecting to the server.

If you are utilizing these instructions from off campus  i.e. a laptop or desktop you use off campus you will need to be connected to the Purdue Data Network, via Purdue’s Virtual Private Network. Instructions can be found here.

Getting Started

1. Once you are logged onto your apple computer, select the Go Menu then choose Connect to server.
