Professor Rickert is an Associate Professor of English. His areas of interest include histories and theories of rhetoric, composition theory, modern/postmodern theory, cultural studies, and network culture. His most recent publication is "Hands Up, You're Free: Composition in a Post-Oedipal World" (JAC 21.2 Spring 2001). A member of the Purdue Introductory Writing Committee, he serves as the Writing and Culture Area editor for The Writing Instructor and is an editor for the online journal Enculturation. His most recent course is Postmodernism and Composition (ENGL 626).
