What would you like to see?
Would you like to stroll around campus, peek inside some classrooms, check out a residence hall? Academic campus tours led by a Purdue student are offered each weekday, and they usually include these plus information and anecdotes from your guide. Contact us to set up a tour. With advance planning, it is usually possible to arrange an appointment with an academic advisor, too.
When should you visit?
Guests are welcome any time, and if you are able to visit campus when classes are in session, you will get a better feel for the student and campus dynamics. Classes meet Monday through Friday for 16-week semesters. This calendar shows semester dates, breaks, exam weeks, and other events that might help with your planning. This travel and lodging information may also be useful.
Group or solo?
Purdue organizes group visit days each semester for prospective students and their families, and these events offer the advantage of many options in a short amount of time. Current Purdue students help us host these events, so you will get to hear from them, speak with them, and ask them questions about their decisions and experience. Since other prospective students will be there, as well, you may even get to meet some of your future classmates. See details and register to attend under "Visit Purdue" on our Admissions site.
If the group visit days don't work with your schedule, if you would like more of an individual adventure, or if you simply have questions, please contact our office for help.
