Prospective Students
Will

Will hails from Newburgh, IN. He is majoring in Communication and minoring in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. Currently, Will is a senator in the Halberdier Club and a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity. He was also a Team Leader for Purdue’s Boiler Gold Rush Orientation Program. In his hometown, he is an active volunteer in the Youth Resources Teen Court program, where he represents minors in their first offenses. Will is also a sales representative for The Exponent, Purdue’s Independent Newspaper.
Will credits his desire to be a liberal arts student to his mother. “I saw what success it brought her and the skills she obtained from her Communication degree. She also instilled in me the desire to give back and help people, something I plan to take into my future career.”
Will plans on attending law school after his time here at Purdue and knows his major choice will play a vital role in that. “I want to be a defense attorney. With the written and oral communication skills I gain from my Communication background, and the leadership skills from my Organizational Leadership and Supervision minor, I will better understand the business operations of a law firm,” says Will.
As for liberal arts as whole, “I believe a liberal arts education is something that should never be forgotten in the world. It is liberal arts students who use their creativity, intelligence, and critical thinking skills to shape the world.”
