Purdue University College of Liberal Arts

Prospective Students

Tommy

Tommy is a College of Liberal Arts - Dammon Dean’s Scholar from Greenwood, Indiana.  He is majoring in Political Science and minoring in History.  He is the Vice President of Communication for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, a member of Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honor’s Society) and a council delegate for DELTA.  He has also been involved with Habitat for Humanity and Indianapolis Lord’s Pantry.

After graduation, Tommy plans to attend law school and focus on constitutional law.  He feels that his liberal arts education will help him achieve his career goal of working in Washington.  “To me a liberal arts education prepares you for any type of field or position you might find yourself in.  It gives you the basic math and science, but it then continues to teach you how to effectively communicate in difficult positions and arguments.”
