Scott

Scott is a sophomore in the College of Liberal Arts majoring in Mass Communication, with a minor in Psychology. He is from Hammond, Indiana. Scott is involved with the Horizons Student Support Program, Liberal Arts Dean’s Ambassadors Program, intramural sports, and plans to become involved with other volunteer organizations.
Scott has a tremendous love for writing and speaking and he used these as inspiration to choose his major of Mass Communication. Scott is also highly interested in sports, and hopes to pursue a career in sports broadcasting after he graduates in 2013. When asked where he sees himself in ten years, Scott said, “I hope to be working in the sports radio business for a large company, such as ESPN. If that doesn’t happen, I’d like to work somewhere in Chicago doing the same thing.”
Scott chose to enter the College of Liberal Arts because he views it as the best way to study a wide variety of topics and it allows you to become knowledgeable in many different areas. Within the College of Liberal Arts you learn how to think outside the box and become prepared for whatever career path you may choose. Scott says, “I like the courses that CLA offers…they have a wide variety of interesting classes and they can all satisfy my core requirements. It also helps to build your character and get you mentally prepared for the ‘real world’ after graduation.”
