While at Purdue, she has narrowed her focus to Political Science in International Relations. In her classes, she learns about a wide range of topics all pertaining to International Relations. Her professors not only have experience teaching their subjects in the classroom, but also through real-life experiences. They get to share those first-hand experiences with their students.
As for career goals, Sara would like to pursue international law at law school. She would like to use her international experiences to help bridge gaps between different cultures.
“I believe a it's important because Liberal Arts issues involve our daily life. For example, all Americans live within the same governmental system, which affects our lives in many ways. Another example is how we interact and communicate with each other within those governmental systems and in every day interactions. A Liberal Arts education is relevant to all of us and we study these topics to have a deeper understanding of them."
