Megan K.
Megan is a Stevensville, Michigan native. She is studying English Education with a minor in Spanish.
How did you choose your major?: "I have wanted to be a teacher since I was first asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I decided on English Education because I believe it's the bridge between all subjects and students, a skill required for every occupation. I can help every student improve his or her English, thus impacting his or her success in life. By using my skills and love for English, I hope to help students regardless of their specific career paths and dreams."
On the value of a Liberal Arts education: "A Liberal Arts degree can help one be successful in many aspects of life. Regardless of specific majors, all Liberal Arts degrees approach learning in a creative yet analytical way. Each graduate leaves with the ability to think and see as an individual. A Liberal Arts degree can be used in all vocations because of the universal skills it teaches its students to apply."
Megan participated in the Dammon Dean's Scholar program her freshman year. She is also involved with the Boiler Gold Rush program, Dance Marathon, Higher Ground Dance Company, and Sigma Delta Pi (an Internation Spanish Honors Society).
