Purdue University College of Liberal Arts

Prospective Students

Frank

Frank
Frank is from Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He is majoring in Political Science and American Studies.  In addition, he has three minors:  History, English, and Economics.  Frank is an involved leader on campus. Frank has been a member of and advisor to the President’s Leadership Class, and served as Chief Justice to the Purdue Student Supreme Court. Currently, he is a member of Purdue Student Government, and sits on the Purdue Foundation Student Board as well as the Student Organization Grant Allocation Board.

After initially enrolling at Purdue to study English, Frank switched to his current major of Political Science.  “The flexibility of any plan of study in the College of Liberal Arts is perfect for the education I’m pursuing,” he said, adding that “the only limitations to my course options are my own interests, and I’m not penalized for pursuing study outside of the college.”

Frank plans to attend law school after graduation but holds less definite career plans.  These include possible work in education, public service, or corporate law.

“The College of Liberal Arts at Purdue is an incredibly supportive environment.  I’ve been able to study and research under some impressive professors and make connections that will last much longer than the four years I’ll spend on campus.  The Liberal Arts tradition, as embodied here at Purdue, produces quality, well-rounded leaders.”
