Prospective Students
Emilie

Emilie Fleagle is a senior from Syracuse, Indiana. She is studying Anthropology and Classical Archaeology, with two accompanying minors: Forensics and Psychology. In addition to her position with Dean’s Ambassadors, Emilie also serves as Vice President for both Liberal Arts Student Council and Rotaract.
Emilie decided to pursue Anthropology and Classics because of the flexibility of career avenues after graduation and because of the focus these majors keep in the desire to study and aid others. She has hopes that the experiences she has held throughout her time at Purdue University will serve her well with more opportunities to come. After studying under Dr. Michele Buzon and conducting data collection on the Nubian skeletal collection since her junior year, she is currently working on her Anthropology Honor’s Thesis over cranial non-metrics. She will also be graduating with Honors from the College of Liberal Arts.
After graduation, Emilie would like to obtain her certification in body identification for future work in Guatemala or Afghanistan as a practicing Forensic Anthropologist. Further into her career, she wishes to work toward her PhD in Anthropology but has yet to determine the area or field of choice.
“I only wish to help others; I just have to figure out in what way I will be most useful”.
