Elizabeth

Elizabeth Hudson is a junior from Westfield, Indiana studying Professional Writing and American Studies with a minor in History.  She keeps herself busy on campus with her involvement as a Resident Assistant in Shreve Hall, the Director’s Advisory Board for the University Honors Program, and as a member of the Liberal Arts Leadership Council.

After taking related classes in her first year at Purdue, Elizabeth was inspired to study Professional Writing and American Studies.  She then realized that she enjoyed reading and editing her peers’ essays and recognized her passion for Professional Writing. She is now working her way towards her degree that she will earn in May 2013, and then enter into the publishing and editing industry. Her education from Purdue’s College of Liberal Arts is now providing her with the knowledge, as well as opportunities, to achieve her professional goals.

As a Dean Scholar her freshman year, Elizabeth was able to get involved in a research project that sparked an interest in American Studies and History. “I am anxious to see where my liberal arts education will take me in the future.  I have many avenues that are open because of how well-rounded my education is.”
