Prospective Students
Hadley

Hadley graduated in May 2007 with a degree in English and minor in Classics. She is currently working as a High School English Teacher for Teach for America. This spring she will receive her Masters of Arts in Teaching. While at Purdue, Hadley was involved in the Liberal Arts Student Council, Boiler Gold Rush, and her Social Sorority.
My choice: "I always knew I'd major in Liberal Arts. Both my parents were Liberal Arts majors, and I know the value of a Liberal Arts education. It prepares you for almost any possible career. It allowed me to study my passions while I was in college; when you're pulling all-nighters writing papers (I was a bit of a procrastinator), it's necessary to love what you're studying!"
Your choice: "Purdue is a huge campus. It's easy to feel lost or overwhelmed. In CLA, you'll have small, personal class sizes and dedicated professors. You won't be stuck at the back of a lecture hall, especially as you advance in your education. There are also so many opportunities for research, further study, and travel. Students just have to take advantage by getting involved."
How my Liberal Arts education helped my in my first job and graduate school: "I'm currently getting my Masters of Arts in Teaching. Purdue's rigorous undergraduate program more than prepared me to handle my graduate work. My critical thinking and writing skills that were honed at Purdue are used daily. The quality of my education was absolutely essential in landing my job with Teach for America (TFA). TFA only accepts the most dedicated and prepared young adults, so the work would have been overwhelming if I hadn't had already experienced so much at Purdue."
