Apply to Our Program
Thank you for your interest in the Department of Political Science at Purdue University. To apply to the Political Science Graduate Program, please follow the guidelines listed here. This is the fastest, most accurate way to apply to Purdue.
When applying, the following items should be submitted through the Purdue University Graduate School website.
- Application
- Application fee
- Statement of Purpose
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official GRE/TOEFL scores. International students are required to submit scores for the internet based TOEFL exam. For admission, applicants must have an overall score of 90 with minimums in each component of 20 (writing), 25 (speaking), 14 (listening), and 20 (reading). Purdue's GRE code is 1631.
If it is preferred, letters of recommendation may be submitted directly to the department. Official Transcripts must be submitted directly to our graduate coordinator at the address below.
The Fall application deadline for ALL applicants is January 15, while the Spring application deadline is October 15.
