Admissions: Domestic Requirements

Students entering advanced degree programs are expected to have done good work in philosophy at the undergraduate level. They should have completed work equivalent to that required by the Purdue Philosophy Department of its majors, including a good background in the history of philosophy and at least one course in symbolic logic. They also should have a reading knowledge of at least one foreign language. Qualified applicants lacking some of these prerequisites may be admitted with the requirement that they take enough additional work during their first and second semesters in residence to fulfill these prerequisites. The deadline for applications is January 4.

Master's Degree Program
