It is such a pleasure to be able to invite you to the 2008 Organizational Communication Mini Conference, hosted by the Department of Communication at Purdue University in Beering Hall.

In the spirit of mentoring and co-learning, every year, Organizational Communication faculty and graduate students from many different locations gather at one university to provide feedback on our graduate students' research projects, theses, and dissertations.

In keeping with OCMC traditions, we plan to showcase graduate students' work and interests in all facets of organizational communication through panel and professional socialization sessions. Although our agenda is tentative right now, we are providing some details online.

  • September 27-28, 2008
10 am Saturday through 1 pm Sunday
  • Location: Beering Hall (2nd Floor), 100 North University Street
  • Housing: Purdue Memorial Union Hotel
Graduate students have the option of staying with a Purdue Graduate Student Host for the weekend.
  • Registration is now closed.
  • Costs: No Registration Fee
  • Food: Snacks, Saturday lunch, Saturday evening banquet/reception, and Sunday breakfast are provided at no cost to OCMC attendees

I would like to thank Howard Sypher, Head of the Department of Communication, for his generosity in funding our OCMC this year and our Org Com faculty for their support.

We look forward to your participation in the 2008 OCMC!!
