Members of the committee routinely teach a host of graduate and undergraduate courses in their departments. In addition, we offer two interdisciplinary courses: MARS 22000 "Introduction to Medieval and Renaissance Studies" and MARS 42000 "Medieval and Renaissance Studies Seminar." General Course Offerings:

MARS 22000: Introduction to Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Semester 1, Class 3, credit 3. An introduction to interdisciplinary medieval and renaissance studies. It typically focuses on a popular topic in the field, with attention to methodology, source materials, and scholarship.


Some of the more recent courses are "The World of King Arthur," "Robin Hood: the Man, the Myth, the Movies," "Medieval Outlaws," and "Love, Sex, and Gender."

MARS 42000: Medieval Studies Seminar, Semester 2, Class 3, credit 3. An interdisciplinary seminar or directed research in some aspect of medieval and renaissance studies.
