Change of Degree Objective
A student who has current eligibility to register in a graduate degree program at Purdue and who wishes to be admitted into the Linguistics Program should submit a completed Request for Transfer of Department (G.S. Form 17) to the Graduate School. The student should also prepare a complete new application, but should submit it directly to Linguistics Program Graduate Office. It is not necessary to submit another application fee. The application should include a statement of intent indicating the specific area of Linguistics to be pursued, a current transcript, the name of the Purdue faculty member with whom the student has studied as a reference, and a writing sample. The student should refer to the information for new applicants concerning the nature and purpose of the
writing sample.
