Intercultural Global Engagement in Nicaragua
The program is for 9 credits: 3 for a service learning project in Nicaragua, 3 for a Spanish class, and 3 for a Mayangna class (Mayangna is the indigenous local language). The languages classes are to facilitate interaction with the locals and to show respect and interest in their culture (nothing works best than trying to learn the language of the 'other'!).
The program takes 6 weeks (June 24-August 4) and costs $4,400.
