Jane Maver/Ray Anne Shrader Physical Education Scholarship Award |

During their long and distinguished careers at Purdue University, Dr. Jane Maver and Dr. Ray Anne Shrader were dedicated to preparing physical education teachers. Dr. Shrader provided leadership in developing and supervising the undergraduate curriculum and served as an academic advisor in the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education. Dr. Maver specialized in motor development. For 25 years, they conducted the innovative Developmental Movement Education activity program for preschool children. With colleagues in the former Department of Physical Education for Women, Drs. Maver and Shrader served as voluntary coaches for women’s sport teams and were instrumental in paving the way for Women’s Intercollegiate Athletics at Purdue. As gifted teachers and supportive mentors, they were the epitome of excellent physical educators. |

About the Jane Maver/Ray Anne Shrader Physical Education Scholarship |
Dr. Joy Greenlee, (BA 66, MS 67) established the Maver/Shrader Physical Education Teaching Scholarship to continue the legacy of Professors Maver and Shrader for their excellence in physical education teaching. The selected student will receive a one-time award of $1,000. |

1 scholarship @ $1,000 awarded to an undergraduate Physical Education Teaching major who will be a junior during the academic year following the application. |
| Criteria: |
Applicants must have a minimum of 45 credits earned at Purdue, be making satisfactory degree progress, and have a cumulative gpa of at least 3.5. |
