Welcome
The History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) is open to all Purdue University History Graduate Students and American Studies Graduate Students with a concentration in History. The HGSA strives to provide both professional development and social opportunities for the graduate student community. Our Works-In-Progress or WIPs series provides faculty members and graduate students with the opportunity to share their work and get feedback from the entire Purdue History Department. The Brown Bag lunch meetings offer helpful discussions and advice about practical academic and professional development topics. The Internal Conference and Glass House events simulate real-life conference presentations, job application procedures, and interview experiences. And our social events, well, lets just say you don't want to miss the Halloween party! Check out our calendar to see what we have been up to.
Most importantly if you are wondering what it is like to study at Purdue feel free to e-mail one of our student contacts.
For more information or with any questions, please contact the HGSA Secretary, Erica Morin, at eamorin@purdue.edu.
