  • Japanese Conversation Hour - This semester's (Fall 2004) schedule is every Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in SC 131. Students at all levels are welcome!

  • Japanese major & minor - If you are interested in majoring or minoring in Japanese, Dr. Marianne Gupta at BRNG 1114 will help you set it up.

  • Study abroad opportunities - Information regarding the exchange program with Nanzan University (Nagoya, Japan) is here. Another program, supported by the Japanese government, is with Tsukuba University (Ibaragi, Japan). You may qualify for generous scholarships available from the Japanese government for this program. For all study-abroad inquiries, contact the Study Abroad Office (4-2383).
  • New Study Abroad program with Ochanomizu University - For this opportunity look at this Study Abroard page.

  • Freeman-ASIA Scholarship - This is a program to fund study-abroad in Asia. Several Purdue students have been awarded before. Check it out!

  • JET Program - Japan Exchange and Teaching Program is another way to spend some time in Japan. They are currently seeking 2005 recruits. Information and applications are here.

  • Summer School at Middlebury College - Are you looking for opportunities to further your language studies in summer? If so, check out the summer Japanese School at Middlebury College. The school provides intensive work in Japanese at all levels, and it provides generous financial aid packages for students in need.
