Welcome to the new online newsletter of the Film/Video Studies Program at Purdue University!
Purdue Film and Video Studies Newsletter
The purpose of this Newsletter is to keep students, faculty, and others updated on what's going on with the program as well as to provide news and information beyond the campus through the blog and the News and Events Links. In the "Related Links," you will find a link to the program website through the Purdue College of Liberal Arts, which will provide you with a faculty directory, information concerning admissions, information for the Film/Video Studies major and minor, course offerings and course descriptions, and a plethora of online resources. In addition, the site provides information on FVS alumni, current undergraduate students, and, soon, information on graduate students at Purdue with academic interests related to Film Studies. A gallery is also available on the site with essays and productions by students and faculty alike. We hope to also provide links to specific works as we update. Also listed under this section of our blog, is a direct link to the FVS "On the Road" blog where stories, photos, and reflections from touring and student internships are posted. While on the road, students gain not only knowledge of a constantly evolving video technology, but they also gain real world experience within the industry.
