Michelle Carreon won "The Edward Simon B'nai B'rith Barzillai Lodge No. 111 Prize in Jewish Studies 2004-05" for her paper entitled: Jewishness within the Realm of American Independent Film: An Analysis of Identity and Film as Activism.

Ms. Crystal Dahl was awarded a presitigious MARC/AIM award to work with Professor Ben Lawton, Chair of IDIS Film/Video Studies, on a project entitled: "Spike Lee: Portrait of a Controversial Black Director."

Jonathan Olson, a freshman in the College of Liberal Arts and a Film Studies Major wrote this review on the film, Ray.  He also reviewed Metallica: Some Kind of Monster and Sideways.

Jessica Weatherford wrote the following paper for the Mafia and the Movies course taught by Professor Ben Lawton in Spring 2005.  Wertmuller's Brand of Feminism.
