While a student at Florida State, his short film "Escape Back to the Movies" was selected in 2000 to receive the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker's Award. "Escape Back to the Movies" was shown on more than 13,000 screens as pre-feature entertainment in movie theaters across the country for six weeks. An estimated 50 million people saw the film. The short also aired on the nationally syndicated show Enterntainment Tonight.
"Anderson", the graduate thesis film that he directed, has screened and competed in over 25 international film festivals winning several top prizes.
