Linda S. Bergmann is Professor of English and Director of the Purdue Writing Lab. Her research interests include the institutional situation of discourse, Writing Across the Curriculum, Writing Program Administration, the transfer of knowledge about writing, and women's personal narratives. She has published articles in journals such as Language and Learning Across the Disciplines, Feminist Teacher, and A/B Auto/Biography Studies and chapters in a considerable range of edited collections. She is a co-editor of Composition and/or Literature: The End(s) of Education (NCTE), and the author of Academic Research and Writing: Inquiry and Argument in College (Pearson/Longman).
