H. Smith) of Mathematics, Science, and Postclassical Theory and (with T. Rajan) Idealism Without Absolutes: Philosophy and Romantic Culture. He is currently at work on two projects: the first is on the relationships between Gilles Deleuze and modern mathematics, and the second is on Romanticism, science, and probability.
