Author of Reconfigurations: Critical Theory and General Economy; In the Shadow of Hegel; Complementarity: Anti-Epistemology After Bohr and Derrida; The Knowable and the Unknowable: Modern Science, Nonclassical Thought, and the "Two Cultures;" Reading Bohr: Physics and Philosophy; Epistemology and Probability; and Niels Bohr and Complementarity; and and co-editor (with B. H. Smith) of Mathematics, Science, and Postclassical Theory and (with T. Rajan) Idealism Without Absolutes: Philosophy and Romantic Culture. He is currently at work on two projects: the first is on the relationships between Gilles Deleuze and modern mathematics, and the second is on Romanticism, science, and probability.
