LooseleafLooseleaf Writing Workshop Series

MFA students at Purdue are active members of the Greater Lafayette Community, and perhaps the best example of this is the Looseleaf Writing Workshop Series. Over the years many of our students have taught people of all ages in community workshops in local schools and libraries as part of Sycamore Review's Writers in Schools program.

During the 2010-2011 academic year, Looseleaf volunteers led fall workshops at the New Community School in West Lafayette and the Cary Home for Children in Lafayette. In the spring, in a partnership with the Tippecanoe Public Libraries, Looseleaf ran a series of poetry workshops at the downtown branch

In addition to the workshops above, in the upcoming year Looseleaf will be partnering with the Klondike library branch to present a kick-off event for National Novel Writing Month.
