Friends of Books & Coffee
There are two primary ways to contribute to the vitality of the long-standing part of Purdue:
Funding
Even small donations, when combined with other ones, go far in supporting program costs, such as aiding us in providing goodies, in addition to our coffee, at the series; enabling us to recruit guest speakers, as Books & Coffee was able to do for its 50th anniversary, featuring internationally-renowned writer Jamaica Kincaid; and more. To give, follow the instructions below.
- Go to https://awc.alumni.purdue.edu/ud_mag.asp
- Change the "Make a New Gift" option to English which is under the College of Liberal Arts headline
- Next to "Special Instructions" type To Friends of Books & Coffee
- Fill out the rest of form
Active participation
We appreciate equally your giving of your time. Your regular (and enthusiastic!) attendance is much appreciated, of course. We are also interested in using campus and community members to be part of "focus groups" for book selections, speaker recommendations, and other input. You can help us keep in contact with you -- so that we can send you notices about focus group gatherings, or announcements when the next series books are selected - by emailing the Books & Coffee faculty coordinator at vpatton@purdue.edu.
We hope you contribute in both ways. Thank you for giving to Friends of Books & Coffee!
