Anthony Cassara
Hi, my name is Anthony Cassara and I’m from Burr Ridge, Illinois. I’m a Media Technology major and I have a minor in OLS and Film Studies. I’m the founder and director of Video Services for True Productions, the company I started in early 2000 to provide professional video services for individuals and businesses. I really enjoy golf, baseball, and racquetball, as well as working with electronics and technology. On Fast Track I’m the director and I am in charge of setting up all the camera shots and making sure everything runs smoothly. You can visit my Web Site at http://www.trueproductions.net. I have two sisters, Stephanie, 23, a Purdue University graduate, and Danielle, 19, currently a Purdue freshman and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. My mom and dad are also a major part of my life and support me through all my decisions.

I started college as a computer science major, but by my junior year I
realized that what I like most about the computer is the unlimited creative
potential it brings to the art and craft of video production. I
particularly like editing and creating original animations. In classes at
Purdue I have learned a great deal about studio production and I have
enjoyed exploring the limits of the new digital equipment the Communications
Department has recently acquired.

Renata Hulyk
Hi, I’m Renata Hulyk, the VTR operator for Fast Track News Magazine. Doing the VTR is a very important job. Without the VTR operator a news show would cease to exist. So, what do I have to do? I come in to class on taping days about an hour early to put all the tapes in order, and in their correct container labeled with a letter of the alphabet. Then, the fun starts... I have to cue all the tapes to two seconds before the first sound comes out. So, after all that is done, it’s time to start the show. The tapes are the ones that have all the stories on them that we use for the show. I have to stick the tapes into the right VTR machine, either A or B. I have to start and stop the tape when the director tells me, and I have to know when the story starts and finishes. The VTR operator’s job was really confusing at the beginning, and very overwhelming. It has gotten a lot easier and I have actually had a lot of fun doing it, I’ve also learned a lot.
Adam Dodge
Hi, I’m Adam Dodge. I have a keen interest in the moving picture. I’ve been involved with video and working with a camera for a couple of years. I have no idea what I want to do in the future and I have no one that I look up to. I go to Purdue University and I design graphics and do post production editing for Fast Track News Magazine. I’ve really enjoyed all the opportunities Fast Track has provided me with.
