Alumnus Leonard Cox, B.A. 1979, M.A. 1996, returned to campus Oct. 29-30 to screen his new documentary, "The Killer Within," as part of the "Experience Liberal Arts" events at Purdue.
The film, which Cox co-produced, chronicles the revelation by Bob Bechtel, a University of Arizona environmental psychology professor, to his students and the UA community that he had killed a fellow classmate more than 50 years ago.
Cox, the executive director of communications and the human resources liaison to the Provost at Columbia University (New York), also visited with department students and faculty during his visit.

Department alumnus and C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb, B.A., 1963, received the nation's highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in a November ceremony.
The medal is given to those who have made "an especially meritorious contribution" to culture, world peace or to national security and other national interests. "C-SPAN is not what you'd call exciting TV," President Bush said jokingly during the ceremony. "It is, however, a tool that enlivens democracy and informs and educates citizens of all ages, at all hours."
Lamb, 66, was one of eight winners of the Medal of Freedom. "I am honored to receive this award on behalf of the cable television industry who created C-SPAN as a public service almost 30 years ago for the American people," Lamb said in a statement.
