Images
To add an image to a web page, click the Image button in the toolbar. ![]()
All of your images should be stored in your images folder which is in your departmental directory.
Several options are available for your image. The "Alt" field is required. Enter a short description of the image in this field. This text will be used by screen reading software for the visually impaired.
Left & Right Alignment
From the "Align" menu, choose whether you would like the image to be aligned to
the left, right, top, bottom, or center. Left or right alignment will place your image within your text and allow the text to wrap to the left or the right of the image. This image, for example, is aligned to the right. Right and Left alignment will be used most frequently.
Top, Bottom & Center Alignment
Top, Bottom, and Center alignment refer to where the text is aligned as opposed to
where the image is aligned. This Image button, for example, has alignment set to bottm, so the text is placed at the bottom right of the image. These options can be useful when you need to place a few words next to an image. If you want to include images as part of a block of text, you should use Left or Right alignment.
New Image Button
If you are in the process of adding an image to a page and realize that you haven't uploaded it yet, you can easily upload an image from the image screen by clicking the "New Image" button.
