To obtain a major in Classics at Purdue University, the student must complete 33 credit hours and establish a reading proficiency in either the Latin or Greek languages. These credit hours may be satisfied using a plan of study including introductory courses, courses in literature and linguistics, history, philosophy and art and/or archaeology. While there are no graduate degrees in Classics at Purdue, Classics faculty has served as committee directors and advisors for graduate students in comparative literature and other fields.
