CLA Scholarships for the 2010-11 school year
The College of Liberal Arts offers scholarships for both beginning and continuing students. The application deadline for beginning students is February 15; for continuing students the deadline is March 1.
Purdue awards most of its merit scholarships to qualified students through an automatic process based on academic information provided with admission applications that are complete* by November 15. These are called the Trustees and Presidential scholarships.
There are also a limited number of smaller merit scholarships, as well as need-based scholarships, that are awarded through a scholarship application process. The deadline for admitted students to submit the Purdue Scholarship Application for these awards is Feb 15th. In order to access the Purdue Scholarship Application you must be an admitted student. Since the admissions process can take 8-10 weeks we recommend your admissions application be complete by the Nov 15th deadline outlined above. This will help to ensure you will be able to access the Purdue Scholarship Application prior to the Feb 15th deadline. Additionally, we encourage all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 in order to maximize consideration for all federal, state, and institutional funds they may be eligible to receive.
To apply for scholarships after admission, please click on the button to the left labeled "Scholarship Lookup." Then select the appropriate information and click "search scholarships." To see all of the scholarships, click on "display all."
Beginning students will be notified about scholarships by March 15. Continuing students will be notified by April 1.
Eligibility for Financial Assistance

You can pick up this form from your high school guidance office or you can file online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. If you have any questions about this application process or need assistance, you can email those questions to http://www.purdue.edu/DFA/all/email.htm.

Private Scholarship Sources
You may also want to explore private scholarship opportunities in your community and online (i.e. FASTWEB http://www.fastweb.com/). Many students receive scholarship support through the company or place of employment of parents or grandparents. There are a number of students receiving financial support from clubs or organizations in their hometown community and from clubs and organizations on campus: http://www.purdue.edu/DFA/sandg.htm
