Still sick as...but trying to counteract the cold medecine with caffeine long enough to put in some writing time on the SR article. Fairly lucid (at least I think) so it should be okay :-) posted by Dr. B. 2:00 PM Feedback . . .
As an writer, a scholar, and a teacher I find it amusing that I have gotten a good number of hits on this blog from google searchers seeking "generic freshman composition topic" + essay (the best one thus far is "my greatest fear" + essay). Hopefully the budding writers that happen upon my blog will stay a moment and read about the real struggles of writing. Maybe building a sense of shared struggle and decide that rather than continuing to search for a paper to plaigarize (and risk their academic careers) they will decide to continue the struggle and sit back and begin to compose their own essay. *SIGH* posted by Dr. B. 9:45 AM Feedback . . .
Supposed to be finishing up the SR article on practica this weekend, but I have been asleep since Thursday. I seem to have come down with the same darn virus that's been going around the department. Thanks guys! :-( posted by Dr. B. 9:37 AM Feedback . . .
WooHoo! Update. Finished the book review and sent it on its merry way. Got a good start on the collaborative piece, hoping to get it done this week. The new rule is that I work only on my scholarship on Mondays and Fridays. This leaves 3 days in the middle of the week for student work. Which works much better when it's not time for the job search and you have a stack of dissertation chapters. Now I just need to find a way to add more hours to the day. I've already cut sleep back to 4-5 hours a day, but beyond that I'm lost. posted by Dr. B. 1:02 PM Feedback . . .
Still working, slowly but surely. Working on an article on teaching practica with SR and finishing up a book review for Kairos in my ample spare time! posted by Dr. B. 12:20 PM Feedback . . .
