Well, it seems that I am back in the swing of things (work that is). I am in the process of editing chapter 4 of my book and mapping out a totally new chapter 6 that just makes so much more sense to me. I am also firming up readings for ENGL 605 in the fall over on the academic blog, so check it out and let me know what you think. I am trying to decide how many books to buy is too many :-)I have done 2 hours of course planning this morning and I think that that is enough for the day especially since I am supposed to be concentrating on scholarly writing. Can't decide if I want to go somewhere else and work (as usual) or brew up a pot of coffee and try to work here. Oh well, I'll decide. More later. posted by Dr. B. 10:15 AM Feedback . . .
I am taking a few days off from scholarly work to allow myself some much needed downtime after Maymester before I start writing again. I just finished the last 50 pages of the 4th Harry Potter book that I had been saving for the release of the 5th book. Now I have to wait 11 hours before I can pick up the 5th book!! *sigh* C'est la vie. I guess I'll read something else in the meantime. I have been reading the Pulitzer prize winning novel Middlesex and I am finding it a fascinating read. posted by Dr. B. 1:06 PM Feedback . . .

No, I have not dropped off of the face of the earth. I have, however, dropped into a Maymester course and for that reason I have no time for "writing work". There are some exciting possibilities going on with my writing work and I am dying to get back to it so that I can see how things work out. And no, I won't tell you because even though I am not superstitious, I don't want to jinx it! posted by Dr. B. 10:32 AM Feedback . . .
