Judy Brandau worked in five different divisions of Marriott – airline catering, franchise and full-service hotels, vacation ownership as well as in corporate labor/employee relations. Brandau’s international experience encompassed establishing sales and marketing distribution channels in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

While on campus Brandau was an active Pi Beta Phi, also participating in Alpha Lambda Delta, Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Society, Delta Rho Kappa, Grand Prix, Debris, and Pep Girls. She was a member of the 1969 Homecoming Queen Court and was recognized as the 1970 Queen of the School of Agriculture.
 
Brandau has been a guest speaker for the Thailand Vacation Ownership Association (TVOA), the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), the Pacific Asia Travel and Tourism Association (PATA), AMDETUR (the Mexican Tourism Council), the Asia Hotel Investment Conference and a guest lecturer at Purdue University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
