The Dean's Club

The Dean's Club is a unique group of alumni and friends who contribute their financial resources generously to the future of the College of Liberal Arts. Whether funding student scholarships, awards to attract and recognize distinguished professors, or capital building projects, the common goal of members is to empower the College of Liberal Arts to provide the best educational environment possible.

Gifts support projects such a as student scholarships - Dean's Scholars, Honors Scholarships, and graduate research fellowships - small research projects for faculty; teaching awards; and enriching experiences for undergraduate and graduate students.

You can become a member of the Dean's Club by making a gift of $500 or more annually to the College of Liberal Arts. You choose how your gift will be used by specifying whether you wish it to go to a department, program, project, or in unrestricted support of the School.

Giving Levels

Basic Membership: $500-$999
Pacesetter: $1,000-$2,499 (also qualifies you for President's Council Membership)
Roundtable $2,500 and up (also qualifies you for President's Council Membership)

Types of Gifts

  • Outright cash gifts
  • Matching Gifts from your employer are added to your gift, and the total contribution qualifies you for membership.
  • Securities may be transferred as gifts to the College using various methods through the Purdue Foundation.
  • Planned Gifts are defined as commitments you make to the university that will benefit the College at some future date. Your planned gift could include a will provision, a charitable remainder annuity trust, a charitable remainder unitrust, an estate gift, or life insurance.
  • Personal Property and gifts-in-kind that fit the College's objectives are accepted and may include works of art, royalties, and equipment.


Membership Benefits

As a Dean's Club member, you join a group of people who care deeply about the College and contribute to the success of its students, faculty, and programs.

Membership benefits include occasional phone visits with the Dean's ambassadors, advance notices of upcoming events, special invitations to lecture series and educational opportunities, and the Dean's Club News, a quarterly newsletter that keeps you up to date on everything happening in the College.

More than anything, you benefit from knowing that your financial support provides opportunities for research, scholarship, learning, discovery, and engagement that are not possible without private donations. Your gifts really make a difference in the lives of our students.
