 Honors Student Council

Mission Statement

The Honors Council is a group of CLA students selected to:

a) Communicate with the students of the Honors Program, the Honors Office, and the Honors Faculty Committee
b) Assist in creating an enriching environment for both students & faculty
c) Represent the College of Liberal Arts Honors Program with integrity and professionalism

Membership

Requirements for Members of the CLA Honors Council:

a) Currently be enrolled within the College of Liberal Arts and College of Liberal Arts Honors Program,
b) Possess a GPA of at least 3.3,
c) Have completed or be currently enrolled in at least one honors course,
d) Intend to graduate with full academic honors,
e) Demonstrate leadership abilities through campus and community involvement,
f) Attend meetings regularly,
g) Volunteer at least one Honors Council sponsored event each semester,
h) Possess an interest in improving and expanding the Honors Program, as outlined in its Mission Statement.

Failure to comply with the standards set forth for membership may result in probation or dismissal from the CLA Honors Council, at the discretion of the CLA Honors Council Director.
