Dr. Mustillo joined the faculty at Purdue University in 2007 after 6 years at Duke.  She has authored or coauthored over 20 scientific articles and chapters in journals such as Journal of Marriage and Family, American Journal of Public Health, and Archives of General Psychiatry.  She has served as investigator or consultant on several NIH grants and has presented papers at both national and international conferences.  Her research focuses on the effects of parenting and family structure on the mental health of children and adolescents, as well as on the interplay of parent and child mental health.  She is also working on several statistical projects involving model fit in multiple imputation and testing for group differences in rate of change over time in nonlinear models.  She is currently in the early stages of a study funded by the department of defense to investigate the predictors of PTSD diagnosis and outcomes in Army Reservists returning from combat operations.
