Renaissance Reading Brown Bag Book Club
Please join us for an interdisciplinary, informal, enjoyable reading group for graduate students and professors in the College of Liberal Arts specializing in or taking courses in early/modern Renaissance, select Wednesdays, 12:30-1:20. BYOBB (Bring Your Own Brown-Bagged Lunch) and join us for good conversation and good company. The MARS reading group will be meeting from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in BRNG 1284.
The group will meet on select Wednesdays:

The group will lead by Dr. Oliveira and will be discussing The Lusiads for the first three meetings. Professor Oliveira will recommend an edition in Portuguese for those who would like to read it in the original.

For the second half of the semester, the group will be reading Hans Staden's True History, a 16th century traveller's tale.
