Spring 2013 Course Descriptions:
LING 62900-64895/ENGL 62700-64896: Seminar in Linguistics: From Issue to Paper
M 6:30-9:20 PM, HEAV 206
E. Benedicto
One of the most difficult processes a graduate student is faced with is to go from the intuition that a problem has been detected to the actual production of an academic piece of writing. In this seminar, we will go through the whole process. Students will be expected to come out of it with a piece of writing ready. Relevant for Linguistics students in the MA thesis, Prelim project, and even Ph.D. writing process. If you are also trying to finally write up that elusive paper you have been dragging for awhile, bring it on. Hands-on, collaborative and participatory.
