Research Interests:
The research in the motor development lab attempts to understand the development of posture and reaching in children. Specifically, we attempt to examine how factors such as motor learning, the environment, cognitive development and physical growth influences the interaction between the postural system and manual control systems.
The equipment in the motor development laboratory includes a three-dimensional image analysis system (Six Camera Vicon system) that allows us to track the subject's movement in three-dimensional space and a force place (AMTI) for measuring postural movements of the children.
