Purdue Athletes Life Success Program (PALS)

2009 PALS Camp has CONCLUDED and we had a GREAT summer!! We look forward to seeing you back for the 2010 session...have a FANTASTIC school year!!
The Purdue Athletes Life Success Program (formerly the National Youth Sports Program - NYSP) has been at Purdue since 2002. We are proud to be returning once again in the Summer of 2009 to provide sports, fitness, and health instruction to area youth ages 10-16. Enrollment is open to all youngsters in the community whose parents or guardians meet Department of Health and Human Services income guidelines. The program is free!
PALS participants receive:
- daily USDA-approved meals
- t-shirt
- transportation to campus where possible
- a medical examination
- accident-medical insurance coverage
- interaction with college students and staff
- swimming, physical fitness, and a variety of other sports which may include soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, or volleyball
- alcohol- and other drug-abuse prevention education
- nutrition, personal health, and citizenship skills
- fun experience in art, computers, writing, and community service learning
