Specialization:

Professor Zook teaches English, medieval and women's history.  She also offers a course on Shakespeare's history plays.  Professor Zook's research areas include English political culture and women and religion in Restoration England.

 

Biography:

Melinda S. Zook is the president of the Midwest Conference on British Studies.  In the spring of 2007 she will be a fellow at the Center for Humanistic Studies, Purdue University.  Professor Zook published Radical Whigs and Conspiratorial Politics in Late Stuart England in 1999 and co-edited, Revolutionary Currents: Nation-Building in the Transatlantic World in 2004.  She is currently working on a book tentatively titled, Women, Religion and Politics in Restoration England.
