Biography:

Eric Hall is a first-year Ph.D. student specializing in twentieth-century U.S. cultural history.  He received an M.A. in history from Purdue University in 2006.  Professor Roberts is his advisor.  He graduated summa cum laude from Saint Joseph's College in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in History.  Eric has served as a Congressional intern for Peter J. Visclosky of Indiana and was awarded a travel grant by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History to study in New York City.  He recently presented papers on bodybuilding at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and at Chicago's Gerber/Hart Library.  In his spare time Eric serves as the department's official karaoke and dance instructor.
