Highlights

Plans are set for a spectacular conference at the U of Toronto and registration is now open for the event. Plenary speakers will be Patrick Brantlinger, Linda and Michael Hutcheon, Harriet Ritvo, and Kate Flint. Seminars will be run by James Eli Adams, Audrey Jaffe, Sachko Macleod, Jerome McGann, and James Vernon. At the 2004 conference banquet, we will present the first annual Donald Gray Prize for the best journal article published in 2003. We are also running the first annual contest for the best paper presented at the NAVSA conference by a graduate student. Deadline for submissions has been extended to: Nov. 5. {More}

Jason Camlot's NAVSA panels at ACCUTE 2004 (U of Winnipeg) were a smashing success. Joel Faflak will continue the tradition at the next ACCUTE conference, which will occur at the U of Western Ontario from May 28 to May 31, 2005. {More}

NINES (Networked Infrastructure for Nineteenth-century Electronic Scholarship) has established its Victorian editorial board and will soon be advertising a grant competition for an all-expenses-paid weeklong workshop at the U of Virginia. {More}
