Plans are
set for a spectacular conference at the U of Toronto and registration
is now open for the event. Plenary speakers will be Patrick Brantlinger,
Linda and Michael Hutcheon, Harriet Ritvo, and Kate Flint. Seminars
will be run by James Eli Adams, Audrey Jaffe, Sachko Macleod, Jerome
McGann, and James Vernon. Other speakers of note include Amanda Anderson,
Stephen Arata, Joseph Childers, Julie Codell, Nicholas Dames, Richard
Dellamora, Catherine Gallagher, Pamela Gilbert, Elaine Hadley, Chris
Kent, John Kucich, Linda Peterson, Marjorie Stone, and Julia Wright.

conference banquet, we will present the first annual Donald Gray Prize
for the best journal article published in 2003. We are also running
the first annual contest for the best paper presented at the NAVSA conference

NAVSA panels at ACCUTE 2004 (U of Winnipeg) were a smashing success.
Joel Faflak will continue the tradition at the next ACCUTE conference,
which will occur at the U of Western Ontario from May 28 to May 31,

its Victorian editorial board and will soon be advertising a grant competition
