Air Transportation
If you are flying to The North American Victorian
Studies Inaugural Conference, we recommend that you fly into Indianapolis
Airport, 50 miles north of Bloomington.
To make transportation arrangements as convenient
as possible, Indiana University Conferences has established a relationship
with the local office of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a major international
travel-management company. CWT will make all arrangements for a conferee’s
travel to Bloomington, including ground transportation from the Indianapolis
airport, as part of their passenger ticketing service. In addition to
securing the lowest fare to Indianapolis from the point of origin, they
will reserve shuttle service to Bloomington from the airport at the

Ground Transportation
from Airport to Bloomington and Return
There are limousine and van shuttle services
that connect Bloomington and Indianapolis International Airport. Passengers
board either the limousine or the van at the Ground Transportation Center
at the Indianapolis Airport, across from the baggage claim area.
Bloomington Shuttle Service offers service directly
to the IMU and a few other locations in Bloomington and on campus approximately
eight times/day. The current round-trip rate for one person is $35.00.

Classic Touch Limo provides door-to-door service
from the airport to any location in Bloomington. Round trip limousine
service currently costs $73.00 (amount includes gratuity) or $45.00

Note: It is important that you make advance reservations
for both the shuttle and the limousine.Car Rental

airport.
Driving Directions
From Indianapolis Airport to the Indiana Memorial
Union.
When exiting the airport, take I465 South
Exit to the RIGHT on Hwy 37 (South)
Proceed on Hwy 37 through Martinsville to Bloomington exits
Exit RIGHT off of Hwy 37 at College Ave and Walnut Exit
Proceed on College Ave to 7th Street
Turn LEFT on 7th Street
Proceed approximately 7 blocks to the IMU (on your RIGHT)
Parking on Campus
Participants who are lodged at the IMU will receive
free parking in the two lots adjacent to the building.
Participants who commute or who stay in off campus accommodations may
park in one of the two lots adjacent to the IMU. Discount parking passes
will be available at the Conference Registration Desk.
