The North American Victorian Studies Inaugural Conference will be held on the campus of Indiana University located in downtown Bloomington. All meetings and most conference activities will take place in the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU). Detailed information about how to reach the IMU can be found under “Travel.”

Indiana University, Bloomington, is home of both Victorian Studies and one of the strongest Victorian programs in the United States. The campus is a careful blend of traditional and modern architecture within a park-like environment. Made of locally quarried limestone, the University buildings add beauty to the scenic campus. Bloomington has the elements to make your visit delightful, especially in October when the trees of the many surrounding hills explode in color. Bloomington offers the charm of a small town and the sophistication of a cultural capital with international caliber performance in opera, music, and theater. Local restaurants include an impressive array of ethnic cuisines, many within a comfortable walking distance of the Indiana Memorial Union.
