CALL FOR PAPERS THE NORTH AMERICAN VICTORIAN STUDIES ASSOCIATION (NAVSA) has been established to provide a wide-ranging forum for the discussion of the history, literature, art, and culture of the Victorian period. Our goal will be to further the interests of Victorianists in the profession: encouraging press and journal editors to participate in our annual conferences; facilitating the networking of Victorianists across regional and national borders; and initiating web-based archival projects to make Victorian texts more easily accessible. Annual conferences will bring together Victorian scholars from across the United States and Canada. The inaugural conference will be held at Indiana University in Bloomington, home of the journal Victorian Studies (with which NAVSA is affiliated). Papers and panels for the inaugural conference have now been established. Titles and presenters will soon appear in the "Agenda" link above. A Call for Papers for the second annual NAVSA conference will appear in the fall. The 2004 conference will occur on the beautiful gothic main campus of the University of Toronto in Canada. Direct queries about the 2003 inaugural conference to Andrew Miller (ahmiller@indiana.edu) or Ivan Kreilkamp (ikreilka@indiana.edu). Direct queries about the 2004 Toronto conference to David Latham (dlatham@YorkU.CA) or Jill Matus (jmatus@chass.utoronto.ca).
